Tungsten-Silver Introduction:
Tungsten-based composite materials are refractory metal materials produced by a strictly controlled procedure that involves pressing, sintering and infiltration with copper or silver. The properties of tungsten composites are determined by the ratio of copper or silver to tungsten. An increase in tungsten content leads to higher arc and wear resistance, whereas thermal and electrical conductivities decrease accordingly.
High-quality tungsten-silver composites are available from Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM). Stanford Advanced Materials (SAM) has more than two decades of experience in the manufacture and distribution of tungsten-silver composites, making it a reliable supplier.

Applications for Tungsten-Based Composites:
Tungsten-based composite materials are frequently used in applications that require a combination of good electrical and/or thermal conductivity and low thermal deformation, for example:
- As electrical contacts or heat sinks in resistance spot welding.
- In electrodes for electrical discharge machining (EDM) and electrochemical machining (ECM).
