Fused white alumina is a high-purity form of alumina, known for its white colour resulting from a lower level of impurities compared to brown or pink alumina. It exhibits higher brittleness than brown alumina. With a Mohs hardness of 9, aluminium oxide is a durable and wear-resistant material, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures and harsh chemical attacks from acids and alkalis.
